Jean Yves Lanvin is a French designer. Heir to the Lanvin family, cousin of Victoria Poniatowski he spent his childhood in contact with elegance, creativity and discovered Paul Iribe as well as the works of Armand Albert Rateau and Jean Dunand produced for Jeanne Lanvin and Lanvin Décoration.

After working in New York and London in investment banking, his passion for design led him to collaborate for 10 years on projects in France and internationally with famous art houses and workshops such as Boccara, La Maison Charles, Pouenat Ferronier d'Art.

His work is characterized by a sculptural approach emphasizing asymmetrical and strong lines. His creations are based on the use of brass, metal and bronze mixed with noble minerals and are entirely produced in his workshop in Normandy.

He joined forces with designer Jean Arriau to make his creations. From this alliance, exceptional pieces arise with a choice of dense and vibrant materials.

This delicate association of metal and minerals creates works that honor French know how.
