"My collapsed porcelain bowls are thrown on the wheel before being deconstructed and built upon with hundreds of individually made ceramic shards. I am interested in the contrast between surfaces - the smooth bowl form made in a mechanical way, and the organic, flowing and life-like surface built up on sections of the original form."
