Olivia Walker is an English ceramist based in Devon in the UK.
She took a Masters in Contemporary Crafts, specialising in Ceramics working as an apprentice to potter Julian Stair alongside this MA.
Participating in many exhibitions such as Collect 2019 at the Saatchi Gallery, SOFA Chicago or Melbourne Design Week, Olivia Walker is interested in working with clay in both a traditional and contemporary way.
« I always start with the potters wheel and value working with this traditional tool and the precision you can achieve with this. I go on to deconstruct these forms and build a rough and intuitive surface over this original form. Building this surface is very time consuming and labour intensive, and it’s this time spent with the object that I most enjoy. » O.W.
